Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026 • Effective date: October 18, 2026
imagedpichecker.com runs 100% locally in your web browser. When you select, drag-and-drop, or paste an image into this tool, the file is parsed in your device's memory using standard browser APIs. Your images are never sent over the internet, never uploaded to our servers, and never stored or accessed by anyone else.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Unlike traditional web services, we do not require account registration, email submission, or login credentials. Because our DPI inspection engine operates strictly client-side:
- We do not upload, view, or retain your image files (JPG, PNG, WebP, TIFF).
- We do not harvest personal metadata embedded in your images (such as GPS coordinates or camera serial numbers).
- We do not build user tracking profiles or sell any behavioral information to data brokers.
2. Client-Side Processing Architecture
Our application uses modern HTML5 and JavaScript technologies, including the FileReader and DataView APIs. When you interact with the tool:
- Binary headers (EXIF, JFIF, PNG pHYs, and TIFF IFD tables) are parsed directly in your device's volatile memory.
- As soon as you close or reload the browser tab, the temporary object references in your browser memory are discarded.
- The tool is capable of running completely offline once the page has loaded.
3. Local Storage and Cookies
We use local browser storage (localStorage) solely to remember your user interface preferences:
theme: Remembers whether you prefer Dark Mode or Light Mode across visits.
We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site profiling cookies, or marketing trackers.
4. Third-Party Hosting and Content Delivery
Our static website files (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) are served via secure Content Delivery Networks (CDNs). Like virtually all web hosts, web servers may record standard technical server logs, including your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and timestamp for network security and DDoS mitigation. These server logs do not and cannot contain the contents of images processed by your browser.
5. External Links
Our website may contain hyperlinks to educational resources or specifications. If you click on an external link, you will be directed to that third party's website, which operates under its own independent privacy policy.
6. Children's Privacy
Our website does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. Because our service collects zero personal data, children may safely use our image resolution calculation tool without data risks.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in legal requirements or platform enhancements. Any modifications will be posted directly to this page with an updated revision date.
